Tempus is a Chicago pop-up venture currently led by Eric Lefkofsky. Tempus has created a voice-based device that enables physicians to get the health discernments and company’s database. According to Eric Lefkofsky, the device works in real-time and the physicians save the time spent on computers. Tempus has, therefore, unveiled Tempus ONE, a small, portable tool that resembles Google Home or Amazon Alexa. However, Tempus ONE, Eric Lefkofsky says, is meant to suit oncologists and it facilitates instant information receipt on the clinical data and insights.

The doctors can interact with the device by asking questions about the clinical reports like the determination of the number of patients who have been chronologized with a given gene. According to Eric Lefkofsky, the device can also offer insights regarding the results of a given patient. Tempus ONE has a microphone and also initiates a response via an activated speaker. The company is doing beta testing of the new device with approximately 50 oncologists to establish it properly towards the end of the year.

Tempus was initiated by Eric Lefkofsky in 2015 and it applies genomic sequencing and machine learning to comprehend cancer tumors and ensure the physicians can access data to customize patient therapy. In the beginning, Tempus was focused on cancer, but it has later advanced into cardiology, depression, infections among others. Led by Eric Lefkofsky, Tempus through this device is enhancing clinical insights and availing data to the physicians and represents the firm’s strike into hardware. Tempus put up $200 million that valued the company at $8.1 billion. Also, Eric Lefkofsky has gotten venture capital worth more than $1 billion.
